You are ordering a remote control repair, not a new remote control!

Repair Description:

• Time-demanding complete reconstruction of the keyboard, replacement of 9V power supply. 4 hours of work.
• The warranty period for the completed repair is 12 months.
• This is a complete refubishment of the remote control incl. RC's cleaning.

Our repair success rate is over 95%. This is because we not only repair remote controls but also manufacture them since 2007. If we can't repair the remote for some reason, such as significant mechanical damage (e.g., broken, bitten by a dog), we will make a duplicate for you. We can read data from the non-functional remote's chip and transfer it to our chip. Hence, we'll deliver you a functionally identical remote with the same button labels, only in a different case.

The only thing we cannot repair is a damaged chip. This often happens after an improper repair attempt. Therefore, we advise against trying it yourself.

We also repair remotes that have been returned by other workshops as irreparable or after a previous amateur repair attempt. Surcharge for repairing a remote after a previous unsuccessful repair attempt: 5 - 10 EUR (depending on the extent of damage). We need to restore the remote's state first. In this case, you'll be informed in advance. You don't have to agree to the repair. If we can't fix the remote, you pay nothing for the repair, only the postage as per our official price list provided at the bottom of the page, or you can give your consent for eco-friendly disposal, and you pay nothing.

How to send the remote:

• Mail your remote control with a description of the fault in the accompanying letter - the more information you provide in the letter, the easier and faster it will be for us.
• It's best to send the remote in a padded envelope as a registered letter - the postage for a registered letter is much cheaper than a regular parcel. If you're particularly concerned about your remote, you can additionally wrap it in bubble wrap.
• We will return the repaired remote within 10 days to the address you provided. In exceptional cases, it may take longer, for example, if we have to order a special replacement part (usually, we have everything in stock) or during the main technician's summer vacation.

Additional Information:

The Reich remote is known for working intermittently. The ribbon connector breaks down and causes dead spots in the connection (as well as in the button array itself). This can be temporarily fixed by disconnecting and reconnecting, BUT it's important to note that it's highly likely to break again on the go and you could be left standing somewhere. This fault is considered non-repairable by other repair shops and they return the remote control to the customer unrepaired. We have a special technique with which we completely reconstruct the keypad so that the original wires are completely disconnected from service and replaced with new ones. The repair is very time consuming, therefore it is more expensive but it is functional forever.
