Process of registering remote controller to main unit:

Remove the drive cover from the guide bar
Shortly press the "RADIO" button, the LED marked with "CH1" will light up.
Press and hold the preselected button to write to the unit's memory on the remote control. The LED "CH1" will start flashing
Once the LED "CH1" stops flashing release the button on the remote control.
Test the remote control.
