You will receive a remote controller ready to use. The only thing you have to do is register the remote controller to control unit of engine/drive.

Process of registering remote controller to main unit:

1. Shortly press the purple button on the LIFTMASTER drive unit - the LED next to the purple button shall stay lit
2. Within 30 seconds on the new remote control press the selected button that is supposed to operate the drive device keep it held for at least 5 seconds.
3. As soon as the LED next to the purple button flashes, it means the remote control has been successfully paired with the unit - the drive lighting may also flash (if the lighting is not installed, an acoustic response of 2 clicks can be heard).
