Setting remote control codes - Programming to control other devices:

1. While pressing and holding one of the input selector buttons (CD, MD/CD-R, TUNER etc...) on the remote control, press AV POWER button (keep pressed together) for more than 3 seconds. 
2. Press the numeric buttons (0 to 9) (F) to enter the four-digit remote control code for the device to be used (see the device user manual to find the codes)

This is exactly the same remote control as the original. The only difference is that it does not have the YAMAHA logo (that's the only reason it's cheaper).
